Stop The Square Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Bearchemy handles information when you play Stop The Square. The game is intended for players age 13 and older.
Information processed by the game
Depending on the features you use, Stop The Square may process:
- An anonymous game account, a random session identifier, and a pseudonymous player identifier.
- Your chosen player name, cloud save, campaign progress, Endless progress, collection state, rewards, cosmetics, and Premium entitlement.
- Leaderboard submissions, scores, boss results, action plans, game and ruleset versions, and information used to detect invalid or duplicate submissions.
- Daily gameplay totals such as sessions, foreground play time, campaign frontier, boss wins and losses, final turret builds, platform, game version, and whether Premium is active. The game groups these totals on your device before sending them.
- Your Google Play Games player identifier if you choose to link Google Play Games. The temporary authorization code and access token used during linking are not stored by Bearchemy.
- Purchase and entitlement information supplied by Google Play. Bearchemy does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Advertising and device information processed by Unity LevelPlay and enabled advertising partners when you allow rewarded ads. This may include an advertising identifier, device and operating-system information, language, network information, approximate location inferred from an IP address, ad impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad events, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals.
- Your email address and message if you contact support.
How information is used
- Run the game, store progress, recover linked progress, and provide purchases, rewards, cosmetics, and leaderboards.
- Display your chosen player name and gameplay results to other players on leaderboards.
- Provide optional rewarded ads after you choose to enable them and tap an ad reward.
- Prevent fraud, duplicate rewards, abuse, and invalid leaderboard submissions.
- Measure daily use, find difficult bosses, understand turret use, and improve game balance.
- Diagnose errors, maintain security, answer support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Advertising and purchases
Stop The Square has no forced ads. Rewarded ads are optional. The game asks for an app-level advertising choice before initializing LevelPlay. Where required, the advertising consent flow offers privacy choices. You can revisit the privacy controls in the game.
Unity LevelPlay and the advertising partners enabled in its mediation setup, which may include Google AdMob, process advertising data under their own privacy policies. Google Play processes purchases under Google's terms and privacy policy.
How information is shared
Information may be shared with service providers that run hosting, database, platform sign-in, purchases, advertising, diagnostics, security, and support for the game. Leaderboard names and results are shared with other players. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect players, Bearchemy, or the service.
Bearchemy does not sell personal information for money. Advertising disclosures may count as a sale or sharing under some privacy laws.
Data storage and retention
Game account data is stored on Bearchemy's hosted backend and retained while needed to operate the game, protect the service, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Service providers may retain logs, diagnostics, advertising records, and purchase records under their own policies. Data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.
Account deletion
You can delete your Stop The Square account inside the game from Options, Account, Delete Account. Deletion removes the game account, cloud save, sessions, linked platform identifiers, leaderboard runs, Endless score, daily gameplay totals, rewards, token ledger, and cosmetics from Bearchemy's active game database.
If you cannot access the game, follow the instructions on the account deletion page. Google Play purchase records and data held independently by platform or advertising providers follow those providers' retention policies.
Children and teens
Stop The Square is designed for players age 13 and older. Bearchemy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Do not put a legal name, email address, or other contact information in a public player name.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information. You can also limit or reset the Android advertising identifier in your device settings. Contact Bearchemy to make a privacy request.
Security
Bearchemy uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards. Game traffic uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
Policy changes
This policy may change when the game, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated page will show a new effective date.
